The Big Four on DVD

If you missed out on traveling over to Bulgaria for the Big Four show that happened a couple of months ago, you know because you have responsibilities, don't worry. If you weren't able to get to the local theather when the Big Four's show from Bulgaria was beamed via satellite worldwide, DON'T WORRY! There will be a DVD, according to a posting on Metallica's website. The forthcoming release will be available in the states October 19th. It won't just be a DVD of Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer and Metallica performing live, but it will also include some of the key interviews featured in the satellite broadcast. If you really wanna go hardcore, you can pick up the box set which will feature two DVDs (or BluRay discs), five CDs with all the music form the four bands and a 24 page book, glossy photos of each band, a poster and a Big Four guitar pick! What more could you want?!?! Check out pro-shot video of "Am I Evil" performed by The Big Four in Bulgaria.

More on Metallica

The classic thrash ballad “Enter Sandman” from the legends Metallica may be one of the songs used to wake up the crew on the final voyage of Spaceship Discovery. The craft is scheduled for one final flight outside of the earth's atmosphere this November. NASA has put together an online voting contest where visitors can select which song they would like the crew to be woken up by every morning. Here's a question ... when in space, is there such thing as morning? Anyway, Metallica is just one of 40 on the list visitors can choose from. Others include music from The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Foo Fighters, 3 Doors Down, Rush and more.

Time to retire

Meanwhile, Aerosmith shows may be affected by the recession. The band's gig scheduled for the opening day of New York's State Fair has only sold a little over half of the tickets available ... and the show is tomorrow! We'll just blame the economy, because who wants to pay an average of $94 to watch a bunch of super washed-out rockstars on stage, especially when Tyler and Perry, the two main men, are literally getting in to squabbles off and on stage. It's called retirement! Do it!
