August 13, 2010 Music News from the Rock Station, 92-7 WQLZ by Bishop Back from the dead After taking the 2009 touring season off, the world will witness a revamping of Ozzfest tomorrow. But, it will not be as extensive as Ozzfests have been in the past. Ozzy will be joined by Motley Crue, Black Label Society and Rob Halford's solo act Halford, among others including Nonpoint. With only 6 dates across the country there has been a ton of criticism from all circles. Halford contends that people fly from all over the world to see Ozzfest and he believes that will be the case this time around. If you want to see the show, the closest place is Tinley Park in Chicago August 17th. The Big Four minus two The Big Four played a few shows overseas and there was speculation that they'd bring the epic show to the states for a cross country tour … but that's not the case. Instead, Megadeth and Slayer launched their own tour earlier this week. American Carnage will hit up Chicago August 20th at the UIC Pavilion. Tonight's the night Tonight, Springfield's face will get rocked off as the Prarie Capital Convention Center fills up with metal-heads pumped for the Capital City Rockfest! Head downtown tonight to see Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, Hellyeah, Sick Puppies, Halestorm, Hale the Villian, Janus, and My Darkest Days.
