Rumors abound

There's rumor rolling around online that A Perfect Circle may reunite. This is interesting because the original line-up never was a permanent mainstay, but their music is. Surely, A Perfect Circle is the epitome of progressive, new-wave rock, with many different influences, but they've never had a consistent lineup. It has always been the brain child of Tool front man Maynard Keenan and guitar tech Billy Howerdel. Online, the band's recently started Twitter account has been posting messages prompting many to think new material is on its way. Then, guitarist and composer Howerdel tweeted “The APC dust is shaking off! ” Another seemingly permanent member of the band, all-around drummer Josh Freese, posted on his Facebook page “I'm happy to report that A Perfect Circle is waking up from its six-year slumber...and we're going to be 'doing stuff' soon.”

Yeah, this pretty much isn't rumor anymore. Expect to see some groundbreaking new stuff from APC in the very near future. Whether Former Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails bassist Jordie White and former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha will be featured in the band is not know. However on APC's twitter update, James Iha's twitter page is linked. A Perfect Circle debuted the album "Mer de Noms" back in 2000. Their last album was "Emotive" from 2004. Keenan has been pimping his side projects including the documentary “Blood Into Wine,” a film about Maynard's intoxicating concoctions. The art doc is currently making its rounds to the hippest theaters around country and is due out on DVD sometime in September after being delayed from a May release. Meanwhile, it is still speculated that Tool will be working on a new album very soon as well.
