Screaming up the charts

It its first week of sales, Ozzy's new album “Scream” has been rocketing up the charts with tens of thousands of sales. The only places the album hasn't breached the top 10 on the charts is Australia and the UK. In the US, “Scream” sold 81,000 copies and landed at No. 4 on the charts. On why you won't hear Zakk Wylde on the new album; Ozzy revealed earlier this week that the real reason he and Wylde separated was because of the rampant alcohol use from the legendary metal shredder. Earlier interviews seemed to hint that their relationship had run its course, but Ozzy expressed to Guitar World that it was indeed the alcohol abuse that the dark prince wanted to get away form. He admitted it was difficult to stay sober around someone who was constantly drinking.

Driving contradiction

Speaking of drinking, he was pulled over this past weekend on Las Vegas' strip and cited with a DUI while cruising around in his Lamborghini. Well, Vince Neil's new album “Tattoos and Tequila” has debuted at No. 57 selling just around 7,500 copies. The Motely Crue front man's solo album is a mix of a few original tunes including the title track and “Another Bad Day,” but mainly cover tunes from greats like Elvis Presley, ZZ Top, Aerosmith and even Elton John. Be sure to check out the video for “Tattoos and Tequila.” In a recent interview Neil said that the album has nothing to do with Motely Crue. “It's rock 'n' roll. That's it ... Tattoos and tequila is basically my life.” This statement made of course after he said he has been off drugs for 20 years and quit abusing alcohol. Not sure if there is a contradiction there ... you be the judge.
