June 30, 2010 Music News from the Rock Station,92-7 WQLZ by Bishop Not broken Rumors spreading around of Breaking Benjamin breaking up are unfounded, according to a statement by the front man on the band's Facebook page. Benjamin Burnley said about the rumors of a break up, “This is just a false rumor that, through the miracle of modern technology, has unfortunately spread.” The front man continues in the post to say he is taking some time off to attend to some health issues. Even though, he does have several solo acoustic shows planned this summer, that doesn't mean he is done with the band. Benjamin may be broken and needing some medical treatment, but Breaking Benjamin is still together. Forthcoming album Disturbed's most recent attempt has been announced. The album “Asylum” will be out August 31st. Front man David Draiman said the album is definitely a more matured Disturbed, but it is still Disturbed. “We feel this is one of the strongest bodies of work we've ever put together. It definitely goes in familiar areas, but with new levels of precision and skill.” Draiman also went on to say that the theme's of the album are everything from self reflection to provocative politics. “No songs about puppy dogs or rainbows here.” The first single “Another Way to Die” jumps into the very controversial issue of global warming “and our irresponsibility in doing what we do as a species, and our constant appetite, our constant consumption at all costs.” Draiman even went on to criticize the current disaster in the Gulf where oil is continuing to gush from a blown out well. The band will be out on the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival. Still not clear if Disturbed will join the band wagon of boycotting BP like Korn and the rest of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. Not quite a reunion Last week's news of Bush getting back together was big news, but now it is coming out that it won't be a true reunion. Nigel Pulsford and Dave Parsons are being replaced by Chris Traynor and Corey Britz. But, that doesn't matter as long as Gavin's handsome face is still out front, right ladies? Bush's album should be out this fall with a show scheduled in the Golden State this summer.
