June 29, 2010 Music News from the Rock Station,92-7 WQLZ by Bishop Busted! You drink you drive, you lose! Someone should have told that to Vince Neil! After proclaiming just last week that he was sober and saying that “there is more to life than drugs and alcohol,” Vince Neil was popped for driving his Lamborghini under the influence. At least he was busted in a bad ass car! The 49-year-old was taken in off the Las Vegas strip Sunday shortly after an altercation where a someone's camera was smashed. Police were already looking for Neil as the suspect in that camera smashing. Neil had just said last week that he has been off drugs for 20 years and that he had stopped abusing alcohol. Ironically, the Motley Crue front man has been working on a solo album called “Tattoos and Tequila,” and will be releasing that album in September. Neil owns several tattoo parlors so maybe this DUI was some kind of crazy publicity stunt. Be sure to check out his mugshot! Back into the studio Rob Zombie taking on some new band mates to tour with seems to have turned out better than he imagined. The horror rocker/director is headed into the studio with his live band featuring Murderdolls' Wednesday 13 and Slipknot's Joey Jordison. He said that “These are some of the fastest, heaviest tracks we have recorded in a long, long time. These songs will available in September.” It is unclear if Zombie will live up to his word in no longer releasing CDs. Could these be digitally released? Let's just hope! Zombie will be out on tour with the live band this summer for the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, headlining alongside Korn.
