Michaels could have died

Bret Michaels, in a blog, is finally telling fans a personal account about his ordeal from last week where he had to undergo emergency surgery. Michaels said “I have played concerts with broken bones, extremely low blood sugars, the flu, colds, and all kinds of things before.” Originally the Poison front man thought he had the flu because he had been throwing up throughout the day before his concert at San Antonio's Sea World last week. Day of, however, doctors told him to get to the hospital where Michaels then found out he had an appendix that went bad and was getting worse. Surgery was a must. To this day, in his blog, Michaels is complaining that it still hurts. The moral of the story ... even a little off feeling can lead to big-time problems. Know your body, people. And all you Celebrity Aprentice fans, Michaels will be back ... don't worry. Read Michael's post here.

Ash won't stop them

Despite most of Europe's air traffic being damn near shut down because of Iceland's continued volcano, Metallica will be playing two shows behind the iron curtain (do they even call it that anymore) in Moscow. The band was already in Oslo with their World Magnetic Tour when the Icelandic mountain blew its top April 14th. The concert organizer is thanking god for Metallica having already flown to their continent before ash filled the air. Now the band can travel either by car, truck or train to get to the venue for shows today and tomorrow.

Think of it a Greatest Hits

An album and a movie release ... that's what's on AC/DC's plate in the very near future. The band's music will be featured prominently in the new Iron Man 2 movie, set to be out later this month and an album will be released as well. It won't be new material but rather 15 classic tunes from the late 1970s to the the latest material. The movie is out in theaters April 28th and the album “AC/DC: Iron Man 2” will be out April 19th.
