New book

Did you ever want to find out what it would be like to be one of the most highly respected guitarists of all time? Tax day is the day the book “Guitar World Presents Van Halen: Eddie Van Halen in His Own Words” will be released, though it has been announced the book has been sent to stores and should be currently in stock. The book will be a bunch of Guitar World interviews with the legendary shredder and some classic interviews that have never been released. These interviews are old school too; from between 1978 to 1980. Publishers tout this book delves into every phase of Eddie's “spectacular” career. Order your company here

Free Ratt

If you're interested, that Ratt track “Eat Me Up Alive” is available for free download. The song was initially made available for streaming only, but now the band has offered the track up for free ... you know, for the kids. It's not entirely free, however. You have to offer up your email address so that Ratt can send you some spam. The album “Infestation” is the first album from the band in 11 years, making 2010 yet another reason this is the year for reunions. You can pick up you copy on April 20th.

It's gonna be the best

The upcoming Trivium album is going to be the best thing the band has ever done, but isn't that what band's always say about their most recent work. Really, I don't think I have ever heard an artist say “you know, that album we worked really hard on and the record company dumped a ton of money into, is really a pile of crap.” Nope! Never heard that before. Anyway, the new Trivium album should be hitting shelves and your record player soon. Be sure to tune in to the “Mosh Pit” with Goose this Saturday at midnight to hear front man Matt Heafy talk about how great the new album will be.

Rush to announce

And, there isn't much (if any) info right now, but Rush is expected to make a big announcement tomorrow at 6am CST. A countdown on their website, Rush.com, has fans foaming at the mouth to know what the hell is going on. We'll keep you updated with the Music Minute.
