It's official

If you could say one thing about the year 2010, even though it is only April, this is the year for comebacks! First there was Fear Factory, then Stone Temple Pilots, hell, even the broken Aerosmith is getting back together in full capacity to tour later this year. Well now, after 13 years, the grunge legends Soundgarden are hooking back up to give fans what they have been waiting for … a long rumored reunion of the entire band. If you plan on attending this year's Lollapalooza, then you also plan on seeing the reunited Soundgarden! Sometime today, officials for Lollapalooza will be announcing the lineup for the Chicago music festival. Some of the rumored acts to appear at Grant Park early August include Soundgarden, who announced on their site they will be at the music festival, Green Day, The Strokes and a whole bunch of others.

They're keeping fans updated with the progress of their next album. Stone Sour has uploaded yet another video showing the band and their producer detailing the recording process currently taking place in Music City. The first video detailed the living arrangements for the band and some of the inside info about what it is like to be writing and recording at Blackbird Studios in Nashville. This new video details for fans what they can expect from the much anticipated followup to 2006s “Come What(ever) May.” The band talks individually about how this album brings a more mature sound and Corey says this new album will be a testament for what the band is about and is miles above what the band has done before.
