Getting Twitterpated

They have their little way of getting you, and in a way you will help them perpetuate their promotions. Stone Temple Pilots have released their new tune “Between the Lines” to the wonderful world of the Internet. But, in order to listen to the track, you have to be signed in to Twitter and tweet a generated message updating all your friends to follow a link to listen to the new tune … with a catch. In order for your friends to hear the song, they will have to tweet the message with the link to all their Twitter followers. And their friends who follow the link will have to do the same thing, in essence rolling the ball through the tubes of the net. And this is what we in the bizz call forced viral marketing! Stop by STP's Twitter page. The new self-titled album from STP will be out May 25th.

Everywhere, but the states

It's been a while since we've heard from these guys, but fans are surely going to be all over this. Start planning now for an “experience of a lifetime” with Aerosmith's “Cocked, Locked, Ready to Rock” 2010 tour. The band will hit the road this spring and the fan community Aero Force One is offering up some unreal VIP experience packages with behind-the-scenes interaction and a bunch of other goodies, meant to provide an experience you'll surely never forget. But, it doesn't look like there are any dates in the states, yet. The band will hit up a bunch of South American countries, starting with Venezuela May 17th, then they fly over to Europe for a June 10th show. All of this comes after many months of speculation that Aerosmith was going to be replacing Steven Tyler for the upcoming touring season. Tyler, having been in rehab for prescription pill addiction, apparently will be part of the upcoming tour. Last summer the band canceled a slew of shows in the US because of injuries from several members, most notably Tyler—who fell of a catwalk and busted his head open. Let's just hope that Steven doesn't 'eff this up! Get more information at www.aeroforceone.com.
