A couple of new tunes from bands you dig are available today. Over to the east coast, strait from Florida, Nonpoint has a new single you can stream online. The new Nonpoint album, “Miracle,” which is also the name of the single, will be available through various online stores March 30th. Meanwhile on the west coast, strait from Cali, Deftones latest, “Rocket Skates,” can be downloaded for free (at this location)! Deftones' forthcoming album “Diamond Eyes” was put ahead of material the band had already recorded, thinking a more hopeful album will be better for their bassist, who is still recovering from a near fatal car accident. The new Deftones album will be made available May 13th, so get your wish lists ready.

Coming soon

Some other new stuff; Stone Temple Pilots are done mastering their album, which means a new STP album is just around the corner. Front man Scott Weiland told reporters that the album is done, the band will play a bunch of festivals overseas and then come back to the states for their own festival they are working on. The album, their sixth studio and first in nearly nine years, should be out sometime in May.

New mini tour

Rob Zombie said last week that there would be a huge announcement on Monday. Well, yesterday was Monday and the big news … the master of horror rock will hook up with the grandfather of horror rock for the forthcoming “Gruesome Twosome” tour. That's right, Rob Zombie will be touring with Alice Cooper! April 26th is the day the “Gruesome Twosome” tour starts up. There's only seven dates on the itinerary, but keep in mind, Zombie is working on the Monster Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, as well.
