Music News from the Rock Station, 92-7 WQLZ by Bishop Sterilized for TV Them Crooked Vultures are the best thing invented since the condom. The band, consisting of Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters, Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin, rocked Saturday Night Live over the weekend. But, like condoms, Them Crooked Vultures are better enjoyed in a dirty and low-lit environment. The sterilized network TV cameras and humble stage with little New York nicknacks just was not fitting of the band. In order to get the most of the band, you gotta check out an entire set. TCV performed two tunes; New Fang and Mind Eraser, No Chaser. Only getting out two songs is like foreplay for the band and definitely not very becoming. Last week, Jones and Homme both confirmed that the band will be headed to the studio this year for a late summer release. Hopefully there will be another tour in the mix, cause I need to see these guys. Check out the video from their performance online: "Mind Eraser, No Chaser", and "New Fang". Caught doin' it in public Tell you what, Canada knows how to party. At a Motley Crue concert in Manitoba, Canada, last Firday, a couple was ejected from the venue because they were getting a little hot and heavy. Video of the couple's erotic public behavior was posted on YouTube, but has since been taken down—probably because it was far to hot for YouTube. After that video surfaced a spokesperson for the MTS Center confirmed that indeed a couple was found being a little too raunchy and were ejected from the venue. New Rock Band tunes If you have an Xbox 360 or a Nintendo Wii and are a Megadeth fan, then tomorrow is your day. You'll be able to download their entire 1990 album “Rust in Peace” for the video game Rock Band, according to Kotaku.com. Thursday, the tunes will be available for Playstation 3 through Rock Band's online store. Catch the Music Minute every weekday with the Free Beer and Hot Wings Show on 92-7 WQLZ, the Rock Station. |
