Music News from the Rock Station, 92-7 WQLZ by Bishop New release The wait is over for the new Rob Zombie album. “Hellbilly Delux 2,” the sequel to the late 90s album, is in stores today. In at 11 songs with classic scary movie monster themes and titles like “Jesus Frankenstein,” “Cease to Exist,” “Virgin Witch,” several songs about werewolfs and the single “Sick Bubblegum.” Catch the video online. The album was originally set to be released late last year but Zombie's desire to get away from his longtime record label delayed the released. Zombie switched labels, heading over to Roadrunner records, in a move he says better represents his music. You better get out and grab up this disc because it will be the last CD that Rob Zombie releases. This will be the very last CD Zombie will release. The horror rocker/movie director sees the death of CDs eminent so he made this disc very special with some captivating artwork. Stupid prank Rock and roll diva Axl Rose has always been known as a bit of a weirdo. A few months ago on his way overseas to play a bunch of shows across Asia, he got into a physical altercation with the paparazzi. In the distant past, he caused a riot at a venue in St. Louis (some of you were actually at that show) when he left the stage crazy early because someone was filming the show. Now, he's causing trouble with our neighbors up north. Here's what happened. At the Air Canada Center in Toronto concert goers waited nearly two hours for the headlining act, Guns 'n Roses, to even come out on stage. The band didn't hit the stage until around 11:30. 11:30!!! Axl came out in a wheelchair saying he apologizes for being late and that he is recovering from jumping off a bunch of stuff the night before. But, it was a friggin' hoax. He then jumped up out of the wheelchair and busted right into Chinese Democracy. Over two hours for that? The show was forced to be over at 2 in the friggin' morning. I would have left and demanded my money back. What a joke. Axl Rose and Steven Tyler should totally get together and sing some dammed karaoke.
