It’s new release Tuesday and though the new Alice in Chains album will not be released till later this year, the band has released one song available for download through iTunes and Amazon. Download “In a Looking View” now from the two music download services. Another single, “Check My Brain,” from the forthcoming album “Black Gives Way to Blue” is set to be released to rock radio in August. The album has a release date set for September 29 through Virgin Records.

Forthcoming DVD

Even though the concert has yet to happened yet, Metallica plans to release pro-shot live footage from their forthcoming July 7th concert in France. The video will be available in French music stores and online October 19th. You might want to be ready to mess with DVD region codes if you want to pick this disc up. The band’s French record company is giving residents of France a chance to take part in the filming and their work my even be included in the production. Once the filming is complete, the concert will be streamed online at the French record company’s site July 10-13th.
