The legendary shredder was brought to tears when he was presented the award by actor Robert Downy Jr. at the third annual Spike Guys’ Choice Awards in California. Congrats to Eddie and don’t forget about the upcoming release of Guitar Hero: Van Halen to include Diamond Dave!

Discussing the sale of your soul

Members of Guns n’ Roses, System of a Down and Devildriver joined the No Good TV show talking about how to make it in the music industry. Author Rick Florino also joined the panel to discus the book he co-wrote with Amy Sciarretto called “Do the Devil’s Work for Him.” The book, considered a self-help or how-to for people already in or wanting to force their way into the music biz, will be released June 26.

Album update

“Let’s all continue to channel positive energy into the universe for Chi’s recovery,” was the message from The Deftones. The band is sitting on the release of their new record, not because of their bassist’s current condition of being in a barely conscious coma, but rather the band wishes to produce a high quality product for fans. Chi was in a tragic car accident last year and has been in a semi conscious state since.
