Show brief
The last broadcast and the last live voice on 970 WMAY, The News and Talk of Springfield, will be Saturday Session with Bishop. Ring in the New Year with an onslaught of critical evaluation of 2011 and what to expect will happen in 2012. Bishop will cover the top 25 censored stories of 2011 from Project Censored, the Iowa caucuses, Mainstream media manipulation and open phone lines. That and more when Saturday Session goes live from 3 to 7pm CST only on 970 WMAY, The News and Talk of Springfield (listen live online).
Top Censored Stories of 2011
Project Censored has a list of 25 stories that were under-reported in 2011. From Extension of Depleted Uranium in Libya (an unconstitutional conflict fought by the Obama administration) to certain US agencies working to outlaw GMO food labeling, to the real unemployment numbers in the US to weather modification to private prisons funding lobbyists to pass certain laws--we'll cover them all with Saturday Session. Also, we'll add to the list of stories that went under-reported in 2011 like the downplaying of Fukushima, Fast and Furious, the NDAA, SOPA, or even Bilderberg.
Does your vote count?
If you live in Iowa, it depends on who you vote for. It will be a very heated contest in Iowa to start the new year. January 3rd will set the tone for the primary season in the GOP. Will it be Mitt, Paul or will Santorum gain some traction? The dynamic of this election season is worthy of discernment and we'll talk about what Iowa means and why some of those in the "establishment" think Iowa doesn't count ... which means they think that Iowan's voices don't count. Also, what is the establishment and mainstream media so afraid of Ron Paul? The media manipulation, from Chris Mathews to CNN, is so thick and distorts what the real issues are. This is a public relations trick that in the past has worked but now is being seen for what it is ... a ploy to sway voters' opinions. Don't believe the hype!
Open phones, 2011
It being New Year's Eve and, not only the final Saturday Session of 2011 but also the final live show on 970 WMAY, we'll open the phone lines for your final thoughts of 2011, your predictions for 2012, and whatever else is on your mind. Do you want to sound off on the craziness that is Illinois or maybe make some last minute resolutions? Everything is on the table for the last portion of Saturday Session for 2011.
