This program works to provide a public sphere for voices from all sides to take part in the conversation. But is that enough? Is radio, and especially locally focused talk radio, a good tool for a healthy public sphere? What about the mainstream "mockingbird" media? We'll explore those questions and also propose that the public sphere must begin in a true public space ... like the Old Capital Plaza in downtown Springfield! Occupy Springfield is already down there encouraging the public sphere. Will you participate?
