Tonight's brief

Tonight, we'll cover the latest with the Operation Wall Street Protests, talk with citizen Michael Allison about his case concerning the Illinois Eavesdropping Act, air an interview with a lobbyist for the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police about the Eavesdropping Act and we'll talk with Mark Dice about his latest book and activism. Be sure to catch Saturday Session this afternoon from 3 to 7 PM CST only on 970 WMAY, The News and Talk of Springfield.

#OccupyWallSt

It has been a solid week that the #OccupyWallSt protests have been going on and has it already fizzled out? What are the demands from the protesters? How has the alternative and mainstream media been treating it? We'll review some of this week's reports and analyze just how well represented the protests are in the media--if represented at all!

Eavesdropping

In a story Saturday Session has followed closely, Michael Allison was facing five felony counts of eavesdropping which could have landed him 75 years in prison--quite the punishment for a man with no criminal record. Charges were ultimately dropped in court which means the state could very well appeal. Similar cases in Illinois and Massachusetts have resulted in charges being dropped seemingly upholding the constitutionality of someone's freedom to record what happens in public, with public officials and servants. We'll talk with Allison live about why he felt it necessary to record the conversation & how he got the guts to battle his case ultimately being found in the clear.

Continuing coverage of the Illinois Eavesdropping Act, Saturday Session will air part of this week's Podium segment where Limey Nargelenas, a lobbyist for the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police, talks about how the Illinois Eavesdropping Act actually hinders law enforcement. This is a far different, yet equally important, criticism of the eavesdropping statute in Illinois. Hear it all tonight with Saturday Session!

Mark Dice

The last time Mark Dice was on Saturday Session was August 5th, 2006, to talk about his book written under the pseudonym John Conner. After dropping that alias and helping fight the New World Order Propaganda Machine on every front possible, we welcome Mark back to the show. His latest book is Big Brother: The Orewlian Nightmare Come True and his YouTube channel regularly puts out gems like "The Dow Jones Average is Five Feet" among others. All the way from California Mark Dice joins the show to talk about his books, activism, and take on this crazy place we call Planet Earth. Also, be listening for a chance to win a copy of Mark Dice's book The Resistance Manifesto.
