Last week
If you missed the discussion about the health care legislation passed last week, listen to the second hour of Saturday Session's March 27th broadcast where Bishop discusses the unconstitutionality of mandating Americans to purchase a product.
What, you didn't hear
Tune in for News on the March to find out some of the things you may have missed while the mainstream covers celebrity gossip and works to demonize conservative groups. Has Pakistan given the US permission to use drones in their country? Discharged soldiers are suing the Military because of Anthrax experimentation. Meanwhile, troop deaths double in Afghanistan. And how is Obama out Bush-ing Bush? Will the "left" do anything about it? What did a judge recently rule about Bush's wiretapping of several American citizens? Will the internet be more safe with Comcast's broadband meters? This and so much more with Saturday Session's News on the March.
More in depth
The problem with Wikileaks: Why does the Pentagon want to neutralize this whistle-blower's playground? A recent leaked CIA report about how to build supportive sentiment for the war in Afghanistan from countries and peoples that may have growing distastes for the nearly decade long battle was leaked on the popular website. This and other reports lift the curtain to how the CIA and other secretive groups (public or private) operate ... which cannot be good for the public's perception of these groups.
The Fresh Kills landfill, where debris and remains of those slain on 9/11 have been for nearly 9 years, is going to see more action. Isn't this something the authorities should have been constantly doing? It was after all the largest criminal act on American soil and it catapulted the US in a full-out war on terror. Will they only be looking for the remains of victims or will they do anymore forensic investigation into, say, thermate/thermite residue?
Video surfaced of Phil Hare saying he doesn't care about the US Constitution and being called a liar by a small group of individuals wanting to discuss his vote in favor of the recent health care legislation. What does this mean for his constituents of from Illinois' 17th Congressional District?
Health care redux
So who was really behind the drafting and passing of the recent health care legislation? Was it really representatives being urged to do so by their constituents, the American people? Or was this a bill drafted by representatives being urged to do so by their constituents, the insurance companies? Find out tonight.
Also, there is buzz online that a certain section of the Health Care bill will allow for implantable micro chips to help manage individual health care information. A simple Google search for "Implantable microchips in the health care bill" will show you blogs upon opinion pieces detailing how the bill may or may not allow for implantable microchips. Bishop will break down that sections' language and takes your calls. What do you think? Will you take the red pill or the chip?
Boiling over
As we get closer to mid April, which seems to be a significant time of the month for unbelievable acts of violence to be carried out against society (i.e. Waco, Columbine, OK City), should we be keeping our vigilant eyes open for threats? And, if threats do indeed manifest as some predict they may, how will the Hegelian Dialectic play out in continuing to choke freedom and liberty.
Another set up
More information has been revealed about the Hutaree Militia that was arrested by the Feds. Does this arrest show the same pattern as other groups taken down by the feds where there is an informant providing rhetorical and material support only setting it up to take it down? Also, the propaganda from the media using this event to demonize other dissent groups is apparent. Sound off tonight with Saturday Session.
True origins of Easter
Politics are a great tool to compartmentalize people into groups and for nearly 4 years this show has tried to break that paradigm in central Illinois. What about religion? Tune in to find out what Bishop thinks the true origins of Easter are and what the Sun's (not son's) role is in the celebration of this holiday. Not to rattle anyone's faith in the importance of loving their neighbor and treating them as they themselves would want to be treated ... but it seems strife, lies, and wars emanate more based on religion than on politics. We must break any an all shackles our mind's are held captive by and sometimes that means seeing things for what they are and not for what some thousands-year old religion tells they are.
