Some representatives in congress stated their constituents are "confused" about the bail out. So they decided to go against up to 80% of what their constituents felt ... what does this say about our representatives? The public sphere must be vibrant in a true democracy. This public must be recognized by any standing government for legitimation. If there is no legitimation, the government is in crisis. When will we realize our legitimation crisis?
